A sigh of relief is heard

Probably as far away as Parksville.

The acknowledgement slip for my ABBA entry arrived in the post just now. From here on any failure to succeed is my own, rather than the Royal Mail's.

Have a pint Digger, just to celebrate and cool down. Because now the real sweating begins. But if the work you've submitted is as well crafted as your blog posts then I think the sound of popping corks will be heard.
Good luck matey.

Acknowledgement of receipt sometimes creates more tension. I applied to the WCB for hearing aids, hoping that my past working experience would somehow have contributed to my need for them. The reply came the other day, and it was "no". Mind you, in this case, I think they look for anything at all to get out of parting with money. Apparently I can appeal, but I'm not sure how. I'll have to look into that.
In your case, though, you are contributing to a worthy cause, and your writings can inflate the coffers of the people you are applying to.
What's the relation between these two scenarios? Probably the amount of my home-made beer that I've been enjoying after another day working at a GM dealer and wondering what the heck is going to happen now.
Sorry for the length of this.
